Who she is...
Catherine was born and raised in Deming, New Mexico. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from New Mexico State University in 1996 and has lived and worked in Colorado's San Luis Valley for more than a decade as a conservationist. Catherine is to conserving natural resources what Chandler Bing is to data configuration and statistical analysis in that no one really knows how... or what exactly. But it's a great career and she loves it.
She also loves '80s pop rock, Rob Brezsny's Free Will Astrology, a good Pinot Noir, and Scrabble. She is in a constant state of almost finished. She's almost finished with her second manuscript. And her third. And her glass of wine. And that blanket she started knitting for you last year. Stay tuned.
Catherine's first novel Rosetta Stones won the New Mexico Book Award's 2009 "Best First Book" award and the Moonbeam Children's 2009 bronze medal award in young adult fiction. She was also a finalist in the New Mexico Book Award's young adult fiction category.
