Thanks to Liz from Milagros Coffeehouse in Alamosa, CO for making me feel so warm and welcome over the weekend. If I could I'd set up shop there every weekend. Milagros is everything a coffeehouse should be and more. There's the amazing coffee. The shelves and shelves of used books. Of course the people. The Wisconsin Cheddar soup is FABULOUS. And how do you not love a place where all the profits go toward feeding the hungry? 

Props to my twelve-year-old genius child. She is creating this work-in-progress website in hopes that it will earn her something very, very expensive this Christmas. To PROVE to me that she is utterly fabulous at whatever she sets her highly evolved mind to, that she's able to be a productive member of society, that she isn't someone COMPLETELY engrossed in social networking and something called poptropica.

If I could afford to, I'd buy her a glass house in Paris... ultimately, that's what she wants.

But at the rate she's going, she'll be able to buy her own fancy abode in the exotic locale of her choosing.

I'm really, really proud of my novel. But the kids?
